Director McElroy to Participate in COVID-19 Town Hall for the Black Community

Ursel J. McElroy, director of the Ohio Department of Aging, will join health experts and others in an online discussion of the COVID-19 public health emergency on Saturday, May 2, starting at 4 p.m. The event is presented by the Health Gap and moderated by by Cincinnati City Councilmember Jan Michele Lemon Kearney.

Director McElroy will participate in the first hour of discussion, titled "What does the partial reopening of the state mean?" She is part of an expert panel that also includes:

  • Dr. Michael Thomas, UC Health Obstetrics and Gynecology;
  • Dr. Opeolu Adeoye, UC Health Emergency Medicine; and
  • Laura Mitchell, Cincinnati Public Schools Superintendent.

The second hour of the program is titled "Continuing Education during COVID-19" and features a panel of local school officials.
