The Ohio Department of Aging Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) unit is housed within Human Resources - Employee and Labor Relations. Key initiatives include employee education, training, counseling, outreach, investigations, and technical assistance.

Ohio’s program to assure EEO for all state employees and applicants prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, genetic information, national origin (ancestry), military status (past, present or future), disability, age (40 years or older), status as a parent during pregnancy and immediately after the birth of a child, status as a parent of a young child, and status as a foster parent. This is in accordance with the provisions of Executive Order 2019-05D.

Internal complaints must be filed within thirty (30) days of the violation date. You also have the option of filing with the Department of Administrative Services Equal Opportunity Division (DAS/EOD) within thirty (30) days of the violation date.
