Electronic Visit Verification

Electronic Visit Verification, or EVV,  is a requirement under the 21st Century Cures Act, a federal law passed in December of 2016. Under the 21st Century Cures Act, states must implement an electronic system to verify certain home and community based services were delivered in order to continue receiving federal financial support toward the costs of those services.

Sign up for EVV instructor led classroom or webinar trainings (have your Medicaid Provider Number - not PIMS number - ready).

EVV Required Use Date is Aug. 5, 2019

  • Providers are required to participate in training to access the EVV system.
  • Providers completing training may begin to use the EVV system before the required use date.

Training runs from May 6, 2019 through Aug. 4, 2019

  • If attending a live classroom training session, please arrive ON TIME
  • Attendees arriving later than 8:15 A.M. (agency class) or 9:15 A.M. (non-agency class) will be asked to leave and reschedule their training.
  • Attendees who leave early will not receive their credentials and will be asked to reschedule their training.
  • Attendees may not bring guests into the live classroom training sessions.

  • ODA certified providers with questions related to EVV and PASSPORT policy questions may email Provider_Inquiry@age.ohio.gov.
  • If you have questions about billing for services or service questions not related to the use of EVV, please email your local PASSPORT Administrative Agency.
