Sign up to receive free, periodic e-mails from the Ohio Department of Aging with the latest publications, news and information about the department and issues of interest to older Ohioans and the family members and professionals who care for and serve them. When you sign up, you will get to select the types of information you would like us to send you. The more topics you select, the more e-mails you will receive. If you feel you are receiving too many e-mails, you may change your preferencesat any time using the links in each message we send.

  • News Releases and Announcements - Choose this category to receive agency news releases and other information and updates of public interest. These are sent as they happen.
  • Boomerang - Choose this category to receive Boomerang, our new, free, lifestyles e-mail newsletter for baby boomers and “young” seniors. Boomerang is sent once each month.
  • Aging Issues - Editorial Columns from Director Riley - Choose this category to receive Aging Issues, editorials and other messages from the Director of the department. Aging Issues is sent twice each month.
  • Aging Connection - News and Information for Professionals - Choose this category to be notified when the latest edition of Aging Connection, the Annual Report, the State Plan and other similar information is available. Aging Connection is sent once each month.
  • Rules Review and Comment Process - Choose this to be notified about draft and proposed administrative rules that affect ODA and the people we serve. These e-mails are sent once each week, when available.
  • Unified Long-term Care System Implementation - Choose this to be notified when new information is available about the effort to create a unified long-term care system. These notices are sent as they happen.

RSS Feeds

What is RSS?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary) delivers Web content directly to you, eliminating the need for you to repeatedly check the site for updates. RSS allows you to have the latest content from a variety of Web sites available in a single location.

    Subscribe to this feed to be notified when a broad range of new or updated content is added to this site.

    Subscribe to this feed to be notified when the latest issue of our monthly lifestyles newsletter is available.

How To Subscribe
To access RSS feeds, you must use an RSS reader reader or an RSS-enabled Web browser (like Mozilla Firefox). There are many free desktop readers available for download online. Additionally, Web sites like Google and Yahoo have readers built into their custom user sites.

  • RSS Readers and RSS-enabled Browsers: To subscribe to a feed, from the list above, copy the Web address of the RSS feed to which you want to subscribe, then paste it into your RSS reader or browser's address bar.
  • Google: Access Google's custom user site at www.igoogle.com. If you do not already have an iGoogle account, create one using the appropriate link on that page. If you have an account, log into it, click "Add stuff," then click "Add by URL." From the list above, copy the Web address of the RSS feed to which you want to subscribe, then paste it into the space provided. Click the "Add" button to finish.
  • Yahoo: Access Yahoo's custom user site at my.yahoo.com. If you do not already have a My Yahoo account, create one using the appropriate link on that page. If you have an account, log into it, click "Add Content," then click "Add RSS by URL.". the list above, copy the Web address of the RSS feed to which you want to subscribe, then paste it into the space provided. Click the "Add" button to finish.
