Ohio Department of Aging Long-Term Care Ombudsman - 2010 Family Survey

About the 2010 Ohio Nursing Home Family Satisfaction Survey

In 2010, the Department surveyed the family members of Ohio's nursing homes. We asked a family member or friend of each nursing home resident about his or her perception of the facility's activities, administration, meals and dining, direct care, nursing and other factors that affect his or her family member's life in the facility.

In 2009, the Department directly surveyed more than 23,000 residents of nursing homes and 9,800 residents of residential care facilities. The results of that survey are available on the Long-Term Care Consumer Guide website.

Overall factility satisfaction scores will be availble on the Long-Term Care Consumer Guide website by December 31, 2010.  Printable facility reports will be available mid-January. If you need help with a specific problem at your loved one's nursing home, please contact your Regional Long-Term Care Ombudsman program.
