Description: Aging in Ohio is a foundation course for anyone involved with the aging network. For over 17 years, experienced professionals have provided an introduction to the aging network, aging programs and services, demographic trends and the organizations, agencies and funding sources that comprise the aging network. Aging in Ohio includes information on the policies and issues that face the aging network and expands existing knowledge of the network and related programs.
Cost/Registration: $100, due 2 weeks prior.

Dealing with Negativity in the Workplace

Target audience: Aging Network Professionals
Description: This workshop will provide increased awareness of your own reaction to negative people and situations - specifically habitual, nonproductive patterns of thinking. Participants will learn options and choices in dealing with negative persons and situations, thereby increasing effectiveness and satisfaction at work. Understand who has the power and how to use it!

Eighth Annual Cleveland Mature Workers' Job Fair: Employment Opportunities for 55+
Date & Location: May 29, 2008 - Holiday Inn, Independence
Target audience: Older Ohioans
Description: Doors are open from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Between 45 and 50 employers will be there, and all employers who exhibit at this event have job openings and are interested in hiring Mature Workers. Jobs may be full time, part time, or temporary and most work categories are represented. There will also be a booth for resume assistance and other employment tips, or to sign up for Senior Employment Center programs at one of our locations in the Cleveland/Akron area.
