The legislature's formal rule-review process requires the department to conduct a public hearing on each rule proposal 31 to 40 days after we first file the rule proposal with the Joint Committee on Agency Rule Review. Additionally, we may conduct business-impact meetings before proposing to adopt a new rule, or before proposing to amend or rescind a current rule. We may collect cost information shared at business-impact meetings to develop a business impact analysis for the CSI Office.
