Help for People Receiving Long-term Care

Who is looking out for you or an elderly loved one to make sure you get the level of care you deserve and remain safe from abuse, neglect and exploitation? We are.

Long-term Care Ombudsman Program - Ombudsmen field complaints about long-term care services, link individuals with the services or agencies they need, provide advice on selecting long-term care providers, educate consumers of their rights and assistance them with benefits and insurance issues.

Adult Protective Services - The Department of Aging supports the work of county departments of job and family services to receive and investigate reports of elder abuse, including physical, sexual, emotional or financial abuse or neglect.

Legal Services - Skilled professionals throughout Ohio can help older adults with personal legal problems and issues, from Social Security to guardianship to utilities.
