Care Options

The Ohio Department of Aging believes that everyone has the right to receive the care they need in the settings they prefer. The aging network helps Ohioans understand their options for care and ensures your rights as a consumer are not infringed.

Help at Home - Many Ohioans need assistance with care, but don't necessarily need to go into a nursing home or other facility. They just need some help and support to remain at home.

Assisted Living - Some folks may find that they just simply can't remain at home safely, but still do not require the around-the-clock care of a nursing home. For them, an assisted living facility may hold the answer.

Comprehensive Care: Program for All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) - The Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), available in Cleveland and Cincinnati, provides Ohioans age 55 or older with primary and specialty care, adult day health services, personal care services, inpatient hospital, prescription drugs, occupational and physical therapies and nursing home care.

Nursing Homes - Ohio has nearly 1,000 nursing homes that provide excellent care to those who need it. But choosing the facility that is right for you or a loved one can be a daunting task. We can help take the guesswork out of it.
