State Rolls Out New, More User-Friendly Web Portal
Last month, Governor Ted Strickland announced the launch of the new Ohio.gov, the state's portal to online government resources. The new site features a more intuitive design that will help visitors find what they are looking for faster than ever. More than 25,000 people use Ohio.gov each day to access state services and information.
In addition to the new look and feel, Ohio.gov now lists the most frequently viewed sites within the portal under the "Information and Services" column. The "How do I" section provides quick answers to some of the most commonly asked questions and is organized according to the main Ohio.gov topics. The "Features" and "Resources" columns are links to current important information and are updated regularly.
The site also features help for visitors who were familiar with the previous design, as well as a feedback survey to help identify potential improvements to the site.
Many images featured on the new site are from the book Panoramic Ohio, a collection of Ohio photography from Thomas R. Schiff.
